
Endurance Area
The Endurance Area is a multi sport area capable of accommodating a variety of games such as soccer, netball, tennis and basketball as well as general fitness conditioning. It receives a lot of use from clubs for training purposes and also five aside users. The area is made up as follows: - 70 metre sprint strait which can accommodate speed, agility and quickness exercises and can be used for fitness conditioning.
- Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) with a polymeric rubber surface this area is suitable for five aside football, netball, basketball, hockey training and tennis.

An added attraction is that the area is fully floodlit and enclosed with high fencing. What Is A Multi Use Games Area? Multi Use Games Areas are growing in popularity they offer a cost effective solution for schools and other facilities with a wide range of sporting demands, among the most commonly played sports on MUGA's are tennis,netball, basketball, soccer, five-a-side soccer and hockey. Other sports may include rounders and athletics practice. The MUGA at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena has been used by soccer, gaelic football and rugby teams for training purposes. The Polymeric surface has a degree of inherent shock absorption, which may be varied by increasing the thickness of the surfacing layer or altering the composition of the polymeric materials. To provide the high degree of slip resistance required by sports such as tennis and netball a specially modified final coating can be applied.
